Voxel Sculpture

A Voxel Sculpture is a 3D model made out of voxels rather than pixels, using a volumetric rendering method. It is akin to virtual clay, as unlike mesh models, it has no empty space inside a mesh of polygons.

A polygon mesh model may easily be converted into a voxel sculpture to be worked with like clay, and then translated back into a mesh model for placement inside a mesh-based virtual environment again.
